Tendacare was established by the registered provider in 1991. It was set up to provide a bathing and homecare service to people wishing to remain in their home but needing some assistance to do so. The initial desire to provide a service which was affordable, yet tailored and flexible to meet service users needs remains.

Although we have seen many changes in the last 20 years, not only in growth of the business but also in legislation, technology and statutory requirements to operate as a homecare provider, we remain a small but busy organisation providing a friendly, yet professional and personal service. The sense of commitment to achieve this by the registered manager, Mrs Sue Smith, her deputy manager, Mrs Sue Dobson and a team of care co-ordinators and care staff is portrayed by the good reputation we have with our purchasers in local authorities and private clients alike.
